General Information
When you open the Online Store for the first time from the menu, you will be prompted to configure basic information for the store, such as the store name, the currency used, and the unit of weight. During this setup, you must also add at least one product. This product can be removed later if you only want to test the store's functionality. After adding the product, delivery options are selected. Finally, payment methods are chosen for the store, after which it can be activated. All of the settings above can be modified later.
From the page menu in the website editor, you can customize the appearance of the Product Listing page, Product page, and Shopping Cart summary. There is also a page available for Order and Delivery Terms.
Store Management
Orders
On this page, you can track and manage your orders.
Products
On this page, you can manage products. Products can be added, edited, deleted, hidden, made visible, and duplicated. Product management is done using the Edit / ⋮ button located on the right side of each product.
You can add a name (mandatory), description, images, a category, and tags to products. Categories and tags can help customers find the product they are looking for more quickly.
Note: Product categories can currently only be added through the editing view of an individual product.
Once the basic information for a product has been added, you need to set a price for the product. Note: In the image below, you can also see the price including tax and the tax percentage. These features will only be visible after you have enabled taxation for your online store. This setting can be found under Store Settings -> Tax.
You can also set a weight and product identifier (SKU) for the products. Adding weight is recommended, especially if you want to adjust shipping costs based on the weight of the products. Note: The Product Identifier (SKU) field visible in the image below will only appear if you have enabled customizable inventory units under Store Settings -> Sorting and Inventory.
Next, you can add your product to inventory tracking. This feature allows you to monitor precisely how much of your product and its different variations are available. With product variations, you can add different options (e.g., various sizes) for the same product.
You can have multiple product variations, but the maximum number of variants per product is 30. Once you have added product variations, you can edit the variants. Remember to edit the variants if:
The variants have different stock quantities,
The variants have different weights, or
The variants have different prices.
At the bottom of the page, you will find a permanent link to the product.
Analytics
On the Analytics page, you can review the sales and orders of your products over specific time periods. The time period can be adjusted from the top of the page, and the table can be set to display either revenue or orders. The page provides information on:Revenue,
The number of orders, and
The number of units sold.
Product Importing
If you are migrating your online store from another platform to Nettisivukone and wish to transfer your products in bulk, you can do so using a CSV file. On the Product Import page, under the Instructions for Importing Products tab, you will find detailed guidelines on creating a CSV file. A template file can also be downloaded from this page.Note: When transferring products, keep in mind that a single import can include a maximum of 100 products and up to 30 product variations per product.
Discounts
On this page, you can set up discount codes for your store. You can add the first discount code by clicking the "ADD DISCOUNT CODE" button. After that, additional discount codes can be added using the red and white + button at the top of the page.At the top of the page, you can also enable or disable all discount codes at once.
Individual discounts can be edited or deleted using the ⋮ button on the right side of each discount. You can disable a discount by editing it.
A product discount can be set as either a percentage discount or, for example, a fixed euro amount.
Store Settings
Name, Email Address, and Currency
On this page, you can update your store's name, email address, the currency used, and the unit of weight for your products.
Payment
On this page, you can select which payment methods you want to enable. Options include Bank Transfer, Klarna, and PayPal. Note that the payment methods available to you depend on your Nettisivukone plan (Basic, Pro, or Expert).
Checkout
On the Checkout page, you can customize the footer for emails sent through your store, such as order confirmations. You can also enable customer comments for orders, allowing customers to add notes and instructions to their orders. Additionally, you can choose to display or hide the terms and conditions.
Shipping
On the Shipping page, you can set up one or more shipping options for the countries you want to ship to. The shipping cost can be fixed, weight-based, or free if the order exceeds a certain amount.
If you have multiple shipping rates, you can set one of them as the default rate using the ⋯ button on the right side of the respective shipping option. Using the same button, you can also edit or delete shipping rates. Once a default rate is set, a green * symbol will appear next to it.
Tax
On the Tax page, you can enable or disable taxation. You can also decide whether the prices displayed on your site should automatically show as tax-exclusive or tax-inclusive. For the selected default country, you can set multiple tax rates. Tax rates can also be applied on a per-product basis. The product-specific tax rate can be modified when editing the product.
Sorting and Inventory
On this page, you can select the order in which products are displayed to customers in your online store. You can also set a low-stock warning for products when fewer than 5 units are left in stock.
If you want to assign custom inventory units to products, you can enable customizable inventory units on this page. Custom inventory units can be assigned to products when they are created or edited.
CSV Export & Facebook Sync
On this page, you can connect your online store to Facebook, allowing you to sell your products directly on Facebook. You can upload your products to Facebook either automatically or manually:
Automatic upload keeps your store synchronized with Facebook.
Manual upload does not maintain synchronization with Facebook, so if you add new products to your store, you will need to manually upload the updated information again.
