In Plesk control panel, most of our servers have the WordPress Toolkit plugin installed by default, which allows for easy management of your WordPress installations. If you don't see this plugin in your Webhotelli account and would like to use it, please contact our customer service.
Creating a New WordPress Installation
To create a new WordPress installation, go to the WordPress section in your Webhotelli account and click on "Install"
In the next section, you can set the parameters for your WordPress installation.
Installation path = This is the directory where you want to install WordPress. It's recommended to install it directly in the root directory of your website (httpdocs), so leave the last field empty.
There's no need to configure other General settings at this stage; you can set them later through the WordPress Administrator. It's recommended to choose the latest available version by default.
WordPress Administrator
In this section, you need to specify the WordPress administrator username and password. These credentials will allow you to log in to the WordPress admin panel. The email address is the admin email where you can recover the password if you happen to forget it. So, choose an email address that you have access to.
Database
There's no need to make any changes to the database settings. The WordPress Toolkit automatically generates a strong password for the database. If desired, you can save the password by clicking on the eye icon.
Automatic Update Settings
In this section, you can configure which updates are performed automatically for your WordPress installation. It's recommended to enable automatic updates for WordPress core updates. You can separately configure plugin and theme updates later if needed.
After configuring the settings, you can start the installation. If the installation is successful, you will see a pop-up window where you can optionally install additional plugins. However, you can also install plugins later through the WordPress admin panel, which provides easier management.
